5-RLD-E2-C Gravity feed dispenser5-rld-e2-c
The Gravity feed dispenser is the tried and true dispenser of the reward system family. The basic purpose of the Gravity Dispenser is to deliver a controlled amount of reward when commanded from the Reward System Controller. The Gravity Dispenser includes the bottle for the liquid reward, a control solenoid and the interface box on a smart looking stand, which can be used to sit on a shelf above the test area or remove the base to hang on the wall. This dispenser is intended for use with liquids with a low viscosity index such as water or juice.

Features and Benefits

  • Easy interface to reward system via standard 5 pin DIN cable.
  • Dispenser is powered from the Reward Controller through the interface cable. It does not require any AC source.
  • Dispenser is designed to work with either of our Reward Systems controllers.
  • Dispenser may also be used with a PC via a 24v IO card.
  • The dispenser has a Drain / Normal switch to allow the system to be primed or emptied.
  • Dispenser may be set on table (shelf) or wall mounted.
  • On Board Alarm
  • The PCB is mounted at the back the interface box. All of the front panel electronic components are PCB mount components and they mount directly on to the printed circuit board, which makes the dispenser design more efficient and reliable.

5-RPD-D1B Pressure Slurry Dispenser
The new Digital Slurry and Pressure Dispensers are an intelligent device which
contains an air shutoff valve, water trap, electronic pressure regulator / monitor, safety
relief valve, media container (with or without stirrer) and sipper pinch valve assembly. It
has been designed to function as an integral part of the Digital Reward System, with
pressure and stirrer speed reporting and control. This device may also be used with the
previous E1 series of reward controllers in a manual only control mode.

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

  • The basic purpose of the Slurry / Pressure Dispenser is to deliver a controlled
amount of reward when commanded from the Reward System. The secondary purpose is
to provide a controlled pressure to maintain a reliable flow of the reward media. An
integral stirrer in the slurry version provides a constant mixing of the media to prevent
    separation of components.
  • For the purpose of reward delivery, the Reward System has direct control of the
sipper solenoid pinch valve. The solenoid control source may be switched between the
Reward System and continuous ON by use of the Drain / Normal Switch. When in Drain
mode, the Reward system detects the drain function and reports the fact to the PC GUI.
The Drain / Normal Switch may be used to both DRAIN the system and to
    PRIME the sipper tube.
  • For the purpose of pressure and stirrer speed control, the new Dispenser uses a
flash memory microcontroller to set the pressure and speed. These are set via commands
from the PC GUI, or from a local control on the dispenser. A calibration table
compensates for regulator non-linearity. The system also monitors the pressure to report
current value and status to the PC GUI. In addition, the slurry version also monitors
motor current to shutdown the stirrer in case of overload due to stirrer blockage. This
current may also be displayed as an aid to media consistency formulation.
  • The air control system consists of an input shutoff valve, a water trap, a safety
“poppet” valve, the electronic pressure regulator, and media container (with or without
stirrer), and sipper control pinch valve solenoid.
  • A Safety Interlock Switch prevents the system from applying pressure or running
stirrer if the Media vessel is not installed. An error message will be displayed and
Interlock Open status reported to the PC.

SPECIAL FEATURES

  • Easy interface to new D(x) reward system via standard DB9 Serial cable or older
E(x) reward system via standard MIDI cable.
  • Dispenser is powered from the Reward Controller through the interface cable. It
does not require any AC source.
  • Dispenser pressure, stirrer speed, and motor current are displayed on easy to read
  • 5” LED’S. Display intensity automatically adjusts for room brightness.
  • Dispenser pressure and stirrer speed are reported to PC GUI. (D(x) only)
  • Dispenser pressure and stirrer speed are controlled from PC GUI based on media
type in remote mode. (D(x) only)
  • May be operated in either Remote or Manual mode. (E(x) operates in Manual
    only)
  • The dispenser has a Drain / Normal switch to allow the system to be primed or
    emptied.
  • The sipper control functions as a Pinch Valve, no media actually contacts the
solenoid. The solenoid supply voltage is protected by a thermal, auto reset,
    “Polyfuse”.
  • A fast acting solenoid valve is also available if precise, small volume rewards are
    required. Contact factory for information.
  • Operates on air pressure, 20 psi nominal, (25 psi max). A safety “poppet” valve
(25 psi) is used to prevent overpressure of the regulator.
  • The Slurry stirrer version is a “milkshake” type stirrer driven by a gearmotor. Will
not slip or stall with thick slurries.
  • Stirrer motor has over current shutoff to prevent damage in case stirrer becomes
    blocked.
  • Stirrer motor current may be monitored to aid in thinning media to desired
    consistency.
  • Media Vessel is easily removed for cleaning.
  • Safety Interlock to prevent dispenser from operating if Media Vessel is not
    installed.
  • The Pressure Dispenser is a single unit occupying an area only 13 by 9 by 10
    inches (Less air shutoff valve).
  • Self Calibration Mode to linearize voltage / pressure control curve.

Dispenser includes:
1. Slurry or Pressure Dispenser.
2. Sipper Tube Pinch Valve Assembly (or fast acting solenoid if requested) with 25ft
hose/cable.
3. Mouthpiece with 3ft hose
4. DB9 Cable (10ft)
5. CD (located in back of Users Manual or flash drive)
6. Users Manual.

5-PDR-E2 Pellet Dispenser
The Rotary Dispenser is an intelligent device that allows pellet rewards to be issued in
various quantities. It has been designed to function as an integral part of the Digital
Reward System, with pellet quantity controlled from the system. This device may also be
used with the previous E(x) series of reward controllers or a PC (by use of an appropriate
IO Card), in a manual only control mode.

The new Dispenser uses a flash memory microcontroller to control the dispensing
motor and hence the number of pellets delivered. The number of pellets is set via
commands from the PC GUI, or from a local control on the dispenser. A pellet may also
be delivered by a manual reward switch when in local mode.

Features

  • Mechanical “Rotary” Style Dispenser.
  • Rotor motor has over current shutoff to prevent damage in case dispenser
    becomes jammed.
  • Local and Remote selection of number of pellets per trigger.
  • Select from One to Eight pellets per trigger.
  • Manual dispense switch (Local Mode Only).
  • Easy interface to new D1 reward system via standard DB9 Serial cable or older
E1 reward system via standard MIDI cable.
  • Easy interface to PC IO with optional DIN Adapter cable.
  • Dispenser is powered from the Reward Controller through the interface cable. It
does not require any AC source.
